Many people are finding out that they can send SMS online without having to worry about texting from their mobile phones. This can come in handy even if you have a Smartphone, but it can also help you transition like I did into not owning and paying for a mobile phone. However, when you send out texts to people online, are you able to get text messages back from them? Yes, you are, but I bet you are wondering how that happens.

I have quite a bit of experience both sending and receiving text messages online. It was all new territory to me at one point though too, so don’t let your fears blinker your view. It’s not difficult at all, but you should know that some sites handle it differently than others. Furthermore, some sites will charge you to send SMS online, this can be more appropriate for businesses however, for the individual, it’s better to find the sites that will let you do it for free. It’s quick and easy that way.

Now, as for how you go about sending these messages, I’m going to tell you. First of all, you have to find the right site. The one I use allows you to input the phone number and you have to know the person’s carrier, too. I am pretty sure that if you input the wrong carrier, the message isn’t going to get to the person because I’ve tried. However, it could be that it does get to the person and just takes longer.

If the messages are important, you don’t want to have to worry about them not getting to their intended recipient. Especially if it is a business message, you want to be sure that the person is going to receive it right away. After that however, it’s time to find out to how you are going to be able to get a message back from the person if you are not using a mobile phone. No need to fret, that is all done through email.

When you send the message, you are going to input your email address, and you’re going to be able to get a return message from the recipient to your email inbox. It’s just like texting, only instead of the person texting you back via a phone number, you’re able to get a text back via email. When I first started doing this, I wondered how my text messages looked to the people I sent them to. I sent one to my Mom and the first few were not great. However, as time went on, I learned more about what I was doing. I was also able to explain things to her so that we could text back and forth just fine. It seems to work differently with different cell phones and carriers, so you will want to know that.

However, the more you do it, the more you’ll learn just how easy it is to send and receive sms online without using a mobile phone. The best part about it is that it’s all free. You don’t have to worry about paying a penny if you get familiar with sending messages like I’ve told you. It’s really that easy!
